Fabrizio Loschi “donates” himself to the Piccinini Foundation

Valuable complimentary prints to those who make a donation

“In increasingly poorer words: I still don’t understand why me, but I’m here with everything I have.”

This was written by Fabrizio Loschi, an artist’s hand, an explorer’s heart, an astonished soul in front of the Mystery, putting the richness of his ideal heritage at the service of Enzo Piccinini and offering his own works to accompany the book “The Heart in Everything: The Sound Beyond the Life of Enzo Piccinini,” which united the graphic art and the musical art of the duo Maurizio CarugnoAlberto Viganò.

Loschi is a major player in the national and international art scene. Very long is the list of awards and prizes that have consecrated him, just as vast is the series of his experiments: from sculpture to collage, from acrylic to the written or drawn word, or even all together. Those who know him call him an all-around creative, committed but out of the chorus, innovative but rigorous. Ironic as hell (this is confirmed by the Magritte-like self-portrait that stands out on his Facebook page) of himself Loschi writes, «The word Artist has now been subtracted from its nature, so I call myself “Operator Of The Useless”».

A year has passed since the edition of the book on Enzo, and Loschi’s drive to understand the Faith (and, more importantly, what he has to do with the Faith) has not stopped. He has continued to walk through the web of relationships that life has woven around him. In this network of relationships, the figure of Enzo Piccinini assumed an increasingly decisive role. The beauty-seeking artist recognized the beauty of Enzo’s surgical gesture and especially of his intense relationship with the human. Therefore, of that encounter he wants to give generous testimony again. The availability of his works to accompany last year’s book does not remain an isolated act: today Fabrizio Loschi once again puts his art at the disposal of Enzo and those who follow him, perpetuating his memory and committing himself (with deeds and prayers) to his beatification.

Loschi had 95 sets of fine prints of those drawings made at his own expense and is making them available to the Piccinini Foundation, which has decided to offer them to those who wish to make a significant donation, which is necessary for the initiatives of the XXV Anniversary of Enzo’s Dies Natalis. The main events are Sunday, May 26 in Bologna and next June 2 in Modena. On both occasions Loschi will be present to autograph (and thus further embellish) his works. It is worth mentioning that all donations to the Piccinini Foundation (ETS, third sector entity) are tax deductible.
